Nowhere Kitchen 19

Theme: Second life, repurposing, upcycling, renewal, reclaim, reimagination

Title: “Turning Leaves” We work more than ever before, despite advances in labor-saving technology. We should, in theory, be able to work less. However, we continue to do so to support a lifestyle that has become more expensive than ever, because of the new levels of convenience and abundant consumer goods that we’ve become accustomed to.

Perhaps we can break out of this trap, not by consuming less but with good creative efforts — from better ways of production to breathing new life into old things.

Nowhere Kitchen 19 is bringing in Juliana Adam from Biji-Biji Initiative to share her stories on creativity, the importance of collective actions, and education.

While we are always making the case for repurposing the things around us (we are the leftovers dinner guys)... it is our ability to reshape our minds that goes beyond the echo chambers of sustainability. Knowing that things need work and maintenance, the practice of our human imagination may just lead us to a place where we work less and have time to value each other.

Come join us with your scrappy leftovers, and we will make a beautiful evening out of it...

The Nowhere Kitchen team in action

What Is Nowhere Kitchen & How Does It Work? A bunch of like-minded individuals have come together to curate the Nowhere Kitchen experience at temu house. There's always a great topic during dinner. There's always great speakers to kick start the discussions.

But, it's also on you.. the audience to be part of this collaborative dinner experience.

We need you to participate in this dinner by bringing a little bit of your pantry leftovers (not a half eaten sandwich please!)

The NK team will document these items and start working their magic in the kitchen. Trust us, they work wonders!

Meanwhile, at the front of house... our speakers will kick start some interesting conversations! And boy have we got a great line up for you this time round!
