Taking Action with Stress

Welcome to the Taking Action with Stress workshop!

Our vision for the workshop is for it to be one where you are trying out and having practical insights in handling stress (because let’s be real, there are A LOT of stress management offerings out there). People will tell you the theories but may not show you when you’re in the red zone and how to actually deal with stress.

When handling others, a big challenge is knowing when or how to redirect them to professionals if they are highly stressed. This is where the psychological first aid principles come in.

Once you know the baseline of stress and how to respond, we talk about strengthening coping mechanisms as a protective measure against stress. This is where building personal resilience comes in. We will walk you through finding and planning what works for you in building resilience.

Since it is a half-day workshop, we will cover the basics and the proper structure of handling stress. We want people to leave the workshop better equipped to handle stress. As we often look to others and try modeling what works for them (that may be unsuitable for us), the workshop aims to help you explore what you could try, that works for YOU.
